Are you an National Disability Scheme (NDIS) Participant?

Multiclass Snowsports athletes, who are self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants, may be approved by the NDIA to use funds from their NDIS plan, if participation in Multiclass / Adaptive Snowsports helps them achieve the goals stated in their plan and meets the reasonable and necessary guidelines.

For example, goals as a Multiclass Snowsports athlete, may be supported with funding for DWA membership, adaptive ski/board instruction (via resorts’ ski schools), getting to and from adaptive snowsports activities and for participating in the Multiclass Event camp.

If you have funding in the CORE - Assistance with Social and Community Participation support category, you may be able to use this budget.

The Core - 04_210_0125_6_1 (Community, Social and Recreational Activities) line item discusses membership and participation fees, and the criteria for paying them. This support item is designed to enable providers to claim reimbursement for the costs of enabling a participant to independently engage in community, social and recreational activities when costs of participation exceed an affordable level and without, the participant would be at risk of social isolation. Participants may use this funding for activities such as camps, vacation and outside school hours’ care, course, or membership fees.
